SKYWATCH!
The second annual "Keep the Flame Burning, Run for the Hills, Sincere Truth Seekers, Remember the White Gates! UFO Fest" skywatch is scheduled for 23rd August, 8pm onwards. This is the Saturday of the Bank Holiday weekend. If you're not there, we'll know you're chicken.

Welcome to the UFO-Warminster website.

Over time we aim to make this the definitive site for the phenomena that haunted the small, quiet, rural town of Warminster, in Wiltshire, during the 1960s and 1970s.

In the next few months, we hope to place on the site scanned images of Ken Roger’s Warminster UFO Newsletter, Peter Paget’s The Fountain Journal and the magazines produced by the UFO-Info organisation.

This site is edited and hosted by two people, Steve Dewey and Kevin Goodman.

Steve is the co-author, with John Ries, of In Alien Heat (Anomalist Books, 2006). This book is an appraisal of the Warminster phenomenon in a cultural context. Steve is, by his own admission, a skeptic regarding UFOs and other related phenomena.

Kevin Goodman is the author of UFO Warminster: Cradle of Contact. This book chronicles the events he and his friends experienced in the town during the mid-1970s. Kevin has a more open mind on the Warminster mystery.

As to what caused the events around the town... who knows? Yet one thing is certain. Whatever the cause – UFOs, natural phenomena, the army, mass hysteria, or whatever you personally believe – Warminster was once the focal point for something interesting.
