Operation Earth

Brinsley Le Pour Trench

HB: Neville Spearman, 1969
PB: London: Tandem, 1974, 1975

As with his earlier book, The Flying Saucer Story, Le Poer Trench considers the relationship between Warminster and ley lines.

By the mid 1970s, Brinsley Le Poer Trench had become more involved with the outlandish theory that the Earth was, in fact, hollow, and that UFOs originated from there. Up until that time, he was regarded as one of this country's leading authorities on the subject of UFOs.

John Keel

Mysteries

Colin Wilson

HB: London: Hodder and Stoughton, 1978
PB: London: Granada, 1979
PB: London: Watkins, 2006

Possibly Colin "I type so fast my fingers bleed" Wilson's second best book.

Blurbed at the time as a sequel to The Occult, it probes "deeply... into the worlds of the paranormal, the occult and the supernatural," attempting to "explain a wide diversity of paranormal phenomenon."

Wilson mentions Warminster in one paragraph, referring to Michell's The Flying Saucer Vision, which discussed Warminster and Cley Hill in relation to ley lines.

The misinterpretations in this one paragaph are discussed in the essay here.
